It was a record-breaking year! Our 10th annual Gilbane Cares charity golf tournament raised more than $75,000 for local charitable organizations throughout Georgia. More than 120 golfers joined in the fun day of golf. The tournament was held at the Country Club of the South in Alpharetta Georgia. Michael Brown was able to present checks to the representatives of the local charities. Benefiting organizations include:

• American Diabetes Association
• Covenant House of Georgia
• America Foundation for Suicide prevention
• National Kidney Foundation

Keeping it Real

Students learned about scheduling techniques and best practices from Michael Brown, senior vice president and Eric Thomas, scheduling manager. They held a session for students from Kennesaw State University’s ‘Intro to Scheduling’ class at an active jobsite. The students where were able to observe a real-time schedule and a pull planning board engaging them in hands-on learning of the structure and sequence of work.

Gil and the Gut-Wrenchers!

Gilbane’s Gut Wrenchers competed in the 2016 Chili/Gumbo Cook-off Challenge hosted by Associated Builders and Contractors of Georgia. They created a fall theme for our tent and brought along Gil’ the scarecrow as our chili mascot. Thanks to our entire team for making it such a fun event! Link to Pics on facebook

Gilbane also participated in ABC’s Annual Fall Meet the Contractors event held at the Cobb Energy performing Arts center. We were able to network and meet with local subcontractors sharing highlights of some of the exciting opportunities Gilbane has coming up for 2017. #ExperienceGilbane

As part of our continued support for the Covenant House of Georgia non-profit organization, in July 2016 the Gilbane Atlanta team partnered up with AngelFire7 BBQ to help feed the youth. It was an amazing and fun event for the youth giving them an opportunity to engage in discussions around career development and future goals while enjoying some delicious BBQ.

What a way to spend the day!

Gilbane's team from our Atlanta office volunteered at Open Hand in Atlanta. They prepared and packaged nearly 2,000 shelf-stable snack boxes for distribution. Open Hand provides comprehensive nutrition care and education to live healthier lives.
