Gilbane partnered with the State of Wisconsin and its joint venture partner to redevelop Hill Farms in Madison. The project features the replacement of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s (“WisDOT”) 60-year-old, 400,000 SF headquarters building with a $190 million, 600,000 SF modern multi-tenant state office building and 1,700-car parking garage, and the redevelopment of residual land into Madison Yards - a vibrant $300 million, 1,200,000 SF mixed-use development. Developing the office building project through an innovative public private partnership delivery model, Gilbane and its team first delivered the state’s facility on budget and three months ahead of schedule, on a turn-key basis, saving the state and the taxpayers of Wisconsin millions of dollars in capitalized interest alone.
