Eligibility Requirements

Grow your network. Expand your business.

The effectiveness of our training and the creation of meaningful opportunities for relationship building with our diverse trade partners is our top priority.

To that end, due to the high demand of the Rising Contractor program and the limitations on the number of firms we can accept to maintain quality, our acceptance rate is approximately 10%. If you are not accepted into the the 2021 cohorts of the Rising Contractor program, we encourage you to still become a qualified trade partner by clicking here.

To be eligible for the Rising Contractor program, participants must commit to the following:

  • A completed application: Gilbane representatives will use this to determine acceptance into the program.

  • Attend ALL sessions of the program. Two people from each firm may be designated as program participants. They need to occupy critical roles and should include a business owner.

  • No absences permitted. If at least one participant from the business is present, it will not be considered an absence.
  • Complete the Gilbane pre-qualification process at www.ibidpro.com.

  • Completion of a one-year mentorship program with a Gilbane project executive.  Participants will be paired with mentors AFTER completing the pre-qualification process.

  • Provide company safety manual for discussion during the risk mitigation session of the program.

  • Must be a targeted business type. This varies by region but typically includes: Minority and Women-Owned Businesses (MWBE), Veteran-Owned businesses and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE).
  • Must be in business for at least two (2) years
