About the Project

NYCREATES – Albany NanoTech Complex Expansion (NFR) project

The project scope includes designing and constructing new cleanroom and related facilities including support buildings, process support systems, and a parking garage. The project will feature a cleanroom with a waffle table consisting of 50,000 SF ISO Class 5 and approximately 50,000 SF of non-clean subfab. This is in order to provide the type of construction required for cleanrooms within the more than 310,000 SF building. Also included are two levels of clean space, two additional levels of support space above the operating level, and a penthouse on the roof.

NYCREATES, in partnership with DPS|Gilbane, is committed to designing and building this state-of-the-art facility in a sustainable and energy-efficient manner. It is a critical objective of the project to achieve the highest level of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification.
