Sales can be an emotional roller coaster- one day you are thinking “it’s a Wonderful Life” and the next day you feel “Dazed and Confused.” During this interactive session, we will learn from each other by listening to some recent wins, losses and new this year getting out of the client penalty box. Goal of the session is that everyone walks (flies) away with some lessons learned and must do’s to increase your hit ratio.
The Education, Healthcare and Corporate markets are, and will continue to be, a mainstay of our success at Gilbane. And there’s no substitute for hearing directly from clients about the business issues they are facing and how they impact the way in which they approach capital projects and building partnerships. In this panel, we will hear from clients in each of these markets, what is driving their industries and individual organizations, and what’s new as it relates to their strategies around and approach to the built environment.
Panelists:
Monica Schroeder, Ed.D, Deputy Superintendent at North Shore School District 112
Niraj Dangoria, Associate Dean Facilities Planning and Management, Stanford University School of Medicine
Tim Singleton, Assistant Vice President of Capital Projects at Northeastern University

This session will help you overcome the “intimidation factor” and learn how to be a better business partner to your BUL when it comes to understanding how we make a profit. Come and learn the key fee pro terms and let us debunk its mystery and how to embrace a “total return” mindset!
For this session, we will be breaking up into multiple pre-assigned teams to challenge your financial acumen to maximize our overall fee yet still be commercially competitive for a CM@R pharmaceutical project pursuit. Come prepared to beat your competition by getting creative and savvy in how you approach your fee proposal as a “total portfolio return”.

This year we are working together to support Communities in Schools (CIS) and Wine to Water.
CIS is a national organization in 25 states with local chapters serving at-risk k-12 students through specialized programming with the ultimate goal of helping students to achieve high school graduation. We will be packaging school and art supplies for elementary aged children in Bastrop, Galveston and San Antonio school districts.
Wine to Water is an international non-profit organization committed to building a holistic, community-based model by supporting the life and dignity of all through the power of clean water. We will support their efforts by building portable water filters for distribution to those in need.
We will load charter buses and depart at 5:30 pm
Served in Willow Pre-function; Dining in Cypress Ballroom
While we will continue to support our core markets, it’s important to ask ourselves “What’s next?”. As we look to partner with clients in the new and emerging markets of pharmaceuticals, microelectronics, renewables, and manufacturing, it’s imperative to understand their business drivers, expectation of risk sharing, challenges, and opportunities in this new space. In this panel, we will hear from directly from clients in these markets about their strategic initiatives and what they are looking for in their building partners.
